Last night, IWC Schaffhausen hosted the 3rd annual “For the Love of Cinema” Gala to kick off the Tribeca Film Festival at Spring Studios. The evening was co-hosted by IWC CEO Georges Kern and Tribeca Film Festival® founders Jane Rosenthal, Robert De Niro, and Craig Hatkoff, with entertainment led by comedian Joel McHale.
The luxury watch manufacturer kicked off the plated dinner with a hilarious monologue from McHale, followed by a presentation of the IWC Filmmaker Award by actor Christoph Waltz, which went to this year’s honoree Deb Shoval for her film project “AWOL”. Guests were treated to an exclusive performance by legendary singer Sarah McLachlan to close out the event, followed by a night of spinning by DJ Mick during the exclusive after-party.
Influential attendees included Dakota Fanning, Michael Cera, Alison Brie, Jennifer Morrison, director Paul Haggis, Diego Klatenhoff, Michael Rapaport, newly engaged couple Allison Pill and Joshua Leonard, Christine Lahti, Rachel Harris and Princess Eugenie, who kept mum in the upcoming royal birth.
Additional influencers included fashion blogger Leandra Medine, Public School designers Dao-yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, feminist and journalist Gloria Steinem, model Grace Mahary, Kelly Brook, professional soccer player Raul Gonzalez Blanco and models Aymeline Valade, Alexandra Agoston, Elyse Taylor.
