Sundance Coming To London

The Sundance Institute is bringing the excitement and the “cool” of the Sundance Film Festival to Europe for its first ever off-shore venture. Sundance London, a festival of music and film, will take place in the English metropolis from April 26 to 29. Over four days, London audiences will get a taste of some of the films premiering at this year’s Festival and highlights from past years that did not get wide attention in the UK. Aside from Sundance founder Robert Redford, there should be a good number of well-known indie names in the entourage. Sundance, which is very protective of its name brand, is testing the market potential for a full-fledge festival in London in the future and for promoting its relationships with local distributors, dvd suppliers and online platforms.
