PEACE, LOVE & MISUNDERSTANDING, a family comedy shot entirely in the Hudson Valley, will open the 2011 edition of the Woodstock Film Festival. The film, directed by Bruce Beresford, features an all-star cast including Jane Fonda, Catherine Keener, Nat Wolff, Elizabeth Olsen, Kyle MacLachlan, Rosanna Arquette, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Chace Crawford. The story is a comedy about an uptight New York City lawyer who takes her two spirited teenagers to her hippie mother’s farmhouse in the countryside for a family vacation. The film is making its U.S. Premiere at the event, on the heels of its well-received bow at the Toronto International Film Festival last week. The director, who was honored last year with the Festival’s Honorary Maverick Award, will be in attendance, along with writers, producers and select cast. The Woodstock Film Festival runs from September 22 to 26 in the mountain hamlet known for its hippie flavor. For more information, visit: www.woodstockfilmfestival.com
