With one of the largest gay and lesbian populations on the planet, New York is one of the most supportive environment for LGBT programming in the world. At this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, gay audiences (and those who love them) can choose from the following film highlights: ANY DAY NOW, a narrative feature about a gay couple who take in a mentally handicapped teenager; JACK AND DIANE, a New York story of love and lust about two young women fall for each other one hot summer day; KEEP THE LIGHTS ON, director Ira Sachs’ autobiographical narrative of a young man’s search for love in all the wrong places; YOSSI, Israeli director Eytan Fox’s return to the story of a closed gay man living a solitary existence in Tel Aviv until he has an emotional awakening; and YOUR SISTER’S SISTER, director Lynn Shelton’s sparkling incestuous comedy of the sexes featuring Mark Duplass, Emily Blunt and Rosemarie DeWitt.
