At The ShowRoom – 708 Cookman Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ 07712

The BEST of LGBT Cinema!  Filmmaker Q&A’s!  Special Events!

APFI and The Showroom will partner with NewFest (NY Lesbian and Gay Film Festival) to present ‘Best of NewFest in Asbury Park’ at the Showrooom April 16 and 17. In keeping with APFI’s mission, partial proceeds will benefit The Center in Asbury Park.

Most screenings will include Q&A’s with the filmmakers and APFI is planning opening and closing receptions at Dauphine Grille and Trinity and the Pope.

“We’re thrilled to partner with NewFest and to show what promises to be the best of LGBT films this Spring in Asbury Park” says APFI co-founders Marilyn Schlossbach and VJ Carbone.

“We look forward to giving a taste of the NewFest experience to new friends and neighbors in the growing LGBT community of Asbury Park. With some of our most popular films from last year’s festival, and the receptions that are planned, it’s sure to be a great event”, says NewFest Board Chair Steve Medelsohn.
