Films In Competition At Rome International Film Festival

Fifteen films will screen in competition in the Official Selection of the sixth edition of the International Rome Film Festival (October 27 to November 4).  The films up for awards include HOTEL LUX (Leander Haussmann, BABYCALL (Pål Sletaune), HYSTERIA (Tanya Wexler), POONGSAN (Juhn Jaihong), THE EYE OF THE STORM (Fred Schepisi), UNE VIE MEILLURE (Cédric Kahn), MAGIC VALLEY (Jaffe Zinn,), UN CUENTO (Sebastián Borensztein) and THE WOMAN IN THE FIFTH (Pawel Pawlikowski) with Ethan Hawke and Kristin Scott Thomas. There are four Italian films in competition: LA KRYPTONITE NELL BORSA (Ivan Cotroneo), IL CUORE GRANDE DELLE RAGAZZE ( Pupi Avati), IL MIO DOMANI (Marina Spada), and IL PAESE DELLE SPOSE INFELICI (Pippo Mezzapesa). The Festival opens this evening with THE LADY by Luc Besson, starring Michelle Yeoh and David Thewlis. The Festival closes on November 4 with a digitally restored 4K version of the Blake Edwards classic BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S, to mark the 50th anniversary of the film’s release in 1961.
