Ewan McGregor To Be Feted In Seattle

Scottish actor Ewan McGregor (TRAINSPOTTING) will receive the 2011 Golden Space Needle for outstanding achievement in acting at the 37th Seattle International Film Festival, which runs from May 19 to June 12. McGregor will receive the award prior to the Seattle premiere of his new film BEGINNERS, written and directed by Mike Mills. Focus Features will open the gay-themed film, which also stars Christopher Plummer, in select cities on June 3.
