Entertainment Technology Expo Coming To New York

Written by: FFT Webmaster | August 10th, 2011

For two days, September 20 and 21 at the New Yorker Hotel in midtown Manhattan, the Entertainment Technology Expo comes into town as the entertainment and media industry’s showcase for previewing ground-breaking technology and learning about the latest trends in content creation. Via a series of seminar panels, master classes and exhibitions, participants will be able to explore where future technology and creative vision converge. Now in its fourth year and presented by Createasphere, the Expo features two days of lively panel discussions, informative seminars, and a show floor where the technology comes to life. Social and networking opportunities bring together industry professionals, technical innovators, and experts in the field. For the first time on the East Coast, Bob Primes of the American Society of Cinematographers will present the results of The Single Chip Camera Evaluation (SCCE). The SCCE is a series of rigorous quantitative and qualitative tests given to major digital cine cameras and 35mm film, where the cameras were evaluated by a group of experienced cinematographers, engineers, and image aficionados known as the Image Quality Geeks.
