Duplass Brothers Comedy To Open Hamptons Film Festival

Written by: FFT Webmaster | September 21st, 2011

JEFF, WHO LIVES AT HOME, the latest comedic film from the brother team of Jay and Mark Duplass, makes its U.S. debut as the opening night film of the Hamptons Film Festival following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last week. The film, which stars Jason Segel, Ed Helms, Judy Greer and Susan Sarandon, is the story of the bonds and boundaries between two brothers and the mother whose affection they are both try to attract. The Duplasses, who obviously know a thing or two about fraternal bonds, bring out the best in their cast and lace the film with a nice mix of sardonic wit and ballsy humor. For the brothers, this represents a major step up in production budget (from their debut film THE PUFFY CHAIR) and in release (Paramount Pictures is the distributor internationally). The Hamptons Film Festival runs in the chi-chi Long Island resort from October 13 to 17. For more information, visit: www.hamptonsfilmfestival.com

The 19th Annual Hamptons International Film Festival will take place this year from October 13th – 17th.   For further information on the 2011 Hamptons International Film Festival, please visit www.hamptonsfilmfest.org.
