The Grill @ Tribeca

TheWrap and Tribeca are delighted to announce their partnership in the first conference of its kind addressing the state of the independent film business. During the first week of this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, join us for a conversation with indie film experts called The No-Fear Future of Independent Film.

Billed under the headline The Grill @ Tribeca, the half-day event will take place at the Tribeca Grill (375 Greenwich Street) on Friday, April 22, from 8 am to 1 pm. Rub elbows with and gain invaluable insight from the most innovative thinkers and prominent influencers in independent filmmaking today, as they address current realities and opportunities in financing, production, distribution, marketing, and technology.

Some of filmmaking’s biggest names will be on hand, including Weinstein Company co-chairman Harvey Weinstein, producer and TFF co-founder Jane Rosenthal, Sundance-winning writer-director Drake Doremus, producer Jonathan Schwartz, Black Swan producer Brian Oliver, and Fandor’s Jonathan Marlow, CEO of Snagfilms Rick Allen, President of Blacklight Transmedia R. Eric Lieb, New Media Investor and Social Technologist Chris Kelly, and more.*

TheGrill, launched in September 2010, is a premium conference brand of The Wrap News, in which leading journalists have one-on-one conversations with entertainment industry decision-makers.

“We are delighted to bring our Grill format to the leading New York film festival,” said Sharon Waxman, Editor-in-Chief of TheWrap, who will be among the moderators.

More details can be found at TheWrap.com.

Passes for the event are on sale now for the early-bird price of $395, and capacity is extremely limited. On April 4, the price will increase to $495, so get your pass today. Don’t miss it!
