Timoner only filmmaker to receive festival’s Grand Jury Prize twice
New York – @radical.media announced today it will represent acclaimed Sundance Film Festival director Ondi Timoner in commercials and entertainment projects scheduled for release this year.
Timoner is the only filmmaker to win the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival twice. Her first Grand Jury Prize at Sundance came in 2004 for her documentary “DIG!” about the collision of art & commerce through the lives of two bands. In 2009 she received the same top-honor for “We Live in Public” about an internet visionary who illustrated by example how willingly people trade privacy and sanity in the virtual age.
Last weekend, Timoner attended the Sundance Film Festival for the debut of her newest documentary “The Undying Dream,” produced by @radical.media for Honda’s “DREAM THE IMPOSSIBLE” Documentary Series.
Timoner joins @radical.media’s cadre of film talent, including Joe Berlinger, Derek Cianfrance and Terry Gilliam, among others.
“After working with Ondi on the Honda film, we realized her tremendous ability in storytelling,” said @radical.media President Frank Scherma. “Her never-ending quest for creating the best stories and her ability to collaborate with clients and advertising agencies, makes this very exciting for all of us.”
