Written by: FFT Webmaster | November 17th, 2011

The very first book on web-documentaries is being launched this weekend at IDFA, the International Documentary Film Festival, the most comprehensive film event devoted to non-fiction (on television, in cinemas or on the web). The 160-page WEBDOCS – A SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR ONLINE FILMMAKERS features contributions by 30 cross-media experts and 14 international documentary associations, covering  topics as diverse as digital storytelling, audience, funding, social media, connected TV, crowd funding, interaction design, and many others. This “survival guide” is the very first book to give advice to filmmakers on how to finance, develop, produce and market their cross-media projects. Documentaries produced for the web are offered as case studies, including the feature length titles PRISON VALLEY, OUT MY WINDOW, COLLAPSUS, FROM ZERO, MONTREAL  EN 12 LIEUX and GAZA SDEROT.
