Silverdocs Documentary Conference

The Silverdocs International Documentary Conference is an intensive five-day event that parallels the public festival, bringing together documentary filmmakers, funders, distributors, educators, and social media experts to discuss a range of topics. Among the areas to be covered are new sources of funding, new distribution platforms, ways of using social media to expand a film’s audience and various technical and technological advances that are making the art of filmmaking easier and less expensive to produce. The more than 30 seminars, panels, master talks and other events are interlaced with the Festival event and give both veteran and newbie documentarians a chance to learn about new approaches.
