New York, NY – On Tuesday NYC based DVD and digital distributor, Docurama Films, celebrated a decade of bringing the world documentary films.

The celebration kicked off at the IFC Center with a rare screening of the 1962 lost treasure, “Jane”, about Jane Fonda’s Broadway debut.  After the screening a Q&A followed with legendary cinema verité filmmakers Robert Drew, D.A. Pennebaker, and Hope Ryden.  A private reception was held at 49 Grove with Docurama Co-Principals Susan Margolin and Steve Savage as well as other members of the documentary community including Alan Berliner, Stephanie Black, Steven Bognar, Rebecca Cammisa, Matthew Makar, Tricia Regan, Julia Reichert, Carlos Sandoval and Marc Simon.

In celebration of the anniversary, Docurama Films, in partnership with Stranger Than Fiction and the IFC Center, will be screening eight more classics from its library over the next nine weeks.

And to ensure the entire country will be able to join the celebration, Docurama Films has also partnered with Gigantic Digital Cinema to stream the anniversary program online.
